Anne Elisabeth Good
December 1, 1927 ~ September 29, 2012
Anne passed away peacefully and comfortably at the age of 84, surrounded by family after recent declining health.
Immigrating to the USA from Chur, Switzerland with her Swiss groom Bruno in 1958, they arrived in New York City, moved to Dallas in 1960, and settled in Seattle where Anne lived the last 50 years. Born in Cordova, AK, her family moved to Ribe, Denmark, where she grew up. During her early adult years, she traveled extensively as a nanny for author Irwin Shaw, while meeting and rubbing elbows with celebrities! Fluent in five languages, Anne loved spending time with family and friends, working in her garden, and traveling abroad.
She is survived by her brother Roy Buhl, six children and their spouses: Cathy (Sergio) Casanga, Linda (Jerry) Breed, Daniel (Marni) Good, Nancy (David) Wickler, Thomas (Lorrie) Good and Peter (Cathy) Good, her eleven grandchildren and recently born great-grandson. A heartfelt thank you to Sound TLC Adult Family Home and The Lodge at Arbor Village for your loving care. Thanks also to the staff of Providence Hospice for your suport during Anne’s final days. Please join in a celebration honoring Anne’s life this Saturday, October 6 at 4:00 p.m., Des Moines Field House, 1000 S. 220th St. Des Moines, WA 98198
