Barbara Ellen (McCarthy) Fasolino, age 82, of Bellevue, Washington died on January 28, 2016 after a year and half battle with an aggressive cancer. She was born in Hempstead, New York to Mabel and John McCarthy on August 27, 1933.
Bobbie, as she was known by all, was raised in East Rockaway, New York and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1971 where she spent fifteen hot summers until she landed in Bellevue, Washington in 1987. She followed her daughter and son-in-law there so she could be a part of her future grandkids’ lives. She lived four blocks away from her daughter, Sue, so she could see her two grandkids every day. She adored them and was a major part of their lives from baking to sewing to attending all their school functions.
She had a great love for all animals and always had them in her life. She most recently had two cats and a Corgi. Bobbie loved and was very proud of her Irish heritage so of course, St. Patty’s Day was one of her favorite holidays and she always would prepare an Irish feast and invite friends. She was an avid baker, cook, and seamstress and loved to tend to her home.
Bobbie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Peter, of Bellevue; her daughter, Sue F. Bryant and husband, David Rogers of Bellevue; her son, Peter D. Fasolino of Brooklyn, New York and his wife, Katrin Hilbe; her grandchildren, Kieffer Bryant of Bellevue and Kalise Bryant of Fallbrook, California; her brother in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Nancy Fasolino of Scottsdale, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and her late brother, John D. McCarthy of Boulder, Colorado.
