Berniece L. Richards (nee Preuss) born 10/24/27 in Pierre, SD, passed 11/16/10 in Issaquah, WA. She is survived by her devoted niece Shelley Nuss and nephews Tom Nuss (Issaquah, WA), Larry Sharp (Tulsa, OK) and their families. Bea was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, her sisters Dorothea Hall and Vicky Nuss and her parents, Ann and Ed Preuss.
Bea chose a career in Civil Service that led her to serve her country in posts all over the world; South Korea, Okinawa, Thailand, Alaska and throughout the lower U.S. She thrived on the challenge and adventure. Upon retirement she, Jack and Benji the dog did the RV thing from one end of the U.S. to the other and had a blast. They adored each other’s company and it was a joy to behold.
When Jack became ill, they settled in Puyallup, WA. Bea discovered bridge! Many new friends were welcomed into her life during this time. New bridge partners were found after her move last move to Issaquah. Bea loved to play games, work crosswords, read mysteries, see her great-nieces grow up, laugh and be silly. We pray she is at peace now in the embrace of Jack and her family. She loved us and we love you Aunt Bea.
