Brian Richard Peterson

Brian Richard Peterson

Born April 3, 1958 in Seattle, Washington to Richard Peterson and Marlys Peterson Carlson.  Brian passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018 in Kirkland, WA.

Brian grew up in Seattle where he attended Ingraham High school and later studied machining at Shoreline Community College.  Brian enjoyed a long career in the machining trade which was not only his job but his passion as well.

Throughout the years Brian enjoyed sailing, boating, motorcycles, snowmobiling and auto racing to mention a few.  Brian had an inquisitive mind and loved to experience new things and especially new people.  He had a beautiful way of making others feel comfortable and loved meeting and learning about everyone.  Brian had a smile and a laugh that was welcoming and genuine.  He was our gentle giant, he loved unconditionally and is loved by many and missed dearly.

Brian is predeceased in death by his father Richard Luse Peterson and stepfather Robert Alfred Carlson.  Brian is survived by his life partner Kristine Birkenkopf, his mother Marlys Carlson, his sister and brother-in-law Connie and Ralph Carlson, nephews Erik and Leif and his niece Siri as well as his beloved fur kids Barney and Georgia.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on July 14th at 1:00 PM at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 13047 Greenwood Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98133 (parking is available across Greenwood Ave at Broadview Elementary School).  Everyone is invited and we ask that you wear a Hawaiian or brightly colored shirt.

All things beautiful in my world
have breathed the magic, the mystery,
the miracle of you …
I have loved you this day.
AND EVERY DAY …
