Carl William Gloor
Carl William Gloor, 94, of Bellevue passed away April 12, 2019.
He was born Oct. 13, 1924 in Bolivar, PA to Carl and Dorothy (Johnston) Gloor.
He entered the US Army in 1943 and served in the 17th Airborne during WWII. He also served in Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Meritorious Service Medals.
In 1976, he retired from the Army as Sergeant Major to Bellevue, WA. He worked as a printer for CH2M Hill. He is survived by his 4 children: son Charles Gloor, wife Eddie (Morrison) Gloor, of Deer Park, TX, daughter Gretchen (Gloor) Johnson, husband Gordon Johnson, of Bellevue, son David Gloor of Kent, and son Gary Gloor of Tacoma, 5 grandchildren: Jillian
Johnson, Emily Gloor, Adeline Gloor, Rian Singh, and Kyle Gloor, and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Anne (Borella) Gloor in 2000.
Carl enjoyed flying his kite and traveling in his motor home. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend and had a heart bigger than the world.
He was laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery.
