Charlotte A. Watkins, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2020 in her home surrounded by family.
She was born, in Big Pine, California. She Married her husband Merle August 9, 1957, in Seattle.
Charlotte worked as an Accountant for several companies and law firms over the years, She served Christ by helping young people in many ways, she help them have conversations with their parents, she brought a few into her home to give them food and shelter, She and her husband Merle were the founders and leaders of “Teens for Christ” at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in the early 70’s. The group was made up of teens from all over the Seattle/Renton area. The group did fund raising, went on camping trips, and participated in Toys for Tots.
Charlotte was relentless in always giving back, creating care packages for other families that may be facing a challenge at a time in their life. She enjoyed being around people and family.
She was proceeded in death by her Son in Law Jim Morrison; Nephew Hans Christian Carl Bernhardt; Foster Parents Mr. & Mrs. Wengert, her Parents; Sister Sharon Prince; and Brother Glenn Woessner. Charlotte is survived by her Husband Merle Watkins Sr.; daughters Theresa (Rob) Anderson, Virginia Morrison, Melody (Johnny) Mitchell; Son Merle Watkins Jr.; Grandsons Chad Anderson, Wesley Mitchell and Mac Morrison; Great Grandchildren, numerous Nieces and Nephews and God Children; and sister Ruth (Harry) Bernhardt, Brother Ernie (Patsy) Woessner, and Sister-in-Law Mary Woessner.
