Christopher Harmon Williams
Christopher H. Williams passed away in Lacey, WA, surrounded by his family on November 23, 2013 at the age of 65. He was born March 20, 1948 in Troy, NY to George and Esther Williams. Chris was the oldest son of 16 children.
Chris served in the United States Army as a radio operator from 1967-1970. He was stationed both in Thailand and Alaska during the Vietnam War.
Chris married his wife Mitzann, in 1977 in Des Moines, WA. He worked for United Airlines for 36+ years and the Highline School District for 6+ years. He taught three years at Des Moines Elementary and subbed for 3 years.
He is predeceased by his mother, Esther Williams. Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mitzann; four daughters, Sarah, Amy (George Reimiller), Rachel, and Allison; son, Johnathan; grandson, Levi Reimiller, father and mother, George & Marilyn Williams; 10 brothers; 5 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed tennis, golf, old movies, collected LP’s, baseball cards, an avid reader and loved to watch his kids play sports. He enjoyed going to Cannon Beach every November with friends.
His sense of humor and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on December 15, 2013 at 3:00 PM — at Grace Baptist Church, 2507 N. Vassault, Tacoma WA 98406. A committal will be held on December 20, 2013 at Tahoma National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
