Frederic Lane Wildanger

9/22/1931 -3/4/16

Fred Wildanger

Fred passed from this earth peacefully Friday March 4th, 2016 at home with his wife Alice by his side as he had requested.

Fred was born in Sacramento, California to Fred J and Florence Wildanger. He grew up there and started his family with his first wife Shirley. They had three beautiful children together before going their separate ways. Fred operated his own auto parts store for awhile and enjoyed sponsoring a car in the sprint car series. He went to work for Dana Corporation and was transferred to Indiana for a few years and then on to Seattle in 1979. A short time later he met Alice (his Charlie) and they married 7 months later. That was 35 years ago and they became best friends and soul mates with a love that will never end.

Fred loved his children, stepchildren and grandchildren; they meant the world to him.

He was a quite man but his feelings ran deep and he loved to tease those he liked. He was proud to be a Mason for over 60 years and was a Past Master. He had a love for sports of all kinds as a spectator and he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, camping and traveling. He retired from Dana Corporation in 1995 and he and Alice enjoyed a few years of travel and camping out in their little RV.

Unfortunately Fred’s health took a turn and he spent the last 15 years fighting to be well. His biggest regret was smoking and his message is DON’T.

Fred is survived by his wife Alice, his sons Jeffrey, Steven, stepson Brett, son-in law Robert, his daughter Suzanne, stepdaughter Teresa and Daughter-in- law Gabi, Granddaughters Alisa, Mindy, Cheyenne and Skye, Grandsons Zachary and Joshua and Great Granddaughter Chloe.

He was preceded in death by his Mom Florence and Dad Fred J Wildanger, his sister Nancy Testerman and daughter-in-law Lynette DeRosier.

A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be Saturday March 12th, 2016 at 1:00 PM, Kennard Mobile Estates Clubhouse, 2200 196th St SE, Bothell, WA
