George Haddix

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother, Cousin, and Friend; George Thomas Haddix passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the age of 82.

He is predeceased by his parents, Issac “Tom” and Madeline (DeLeo) Haddix; sister, Rosary Ann Haddix; brother, John Haddix and son, Mark Haddix.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years Kay Haddix; children, Sylvia (David) Wise, Luke Haddix and Griffin Haddix; grandchildren, Dalton, Anthony (Melissa), Brandon (Kyra), Corvin and Faith; great grandson, Myles and his brother, Robert Haddix.

Born January 12, 1940, George was raised in the Seattle area where he spent a majority of his life. He served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962, stationed in Washington D.C. and Pensacola, Florida. George had a long career with Boeing Aerospace until he retired in 1998. In 2012, he and Kay settled in Maple Valley.

George’s hobbies included fishing, woodworking and the gifting of his time and talents on many charitable projects with his wife. During the wet Washington winters, he and Kay would travel to their second home in Arizona.

George also enjoyed taking cross country road trips. These often included regular trips to North Dakota and Minnesota to visit Kay’s family as well as Alabama and Florida to spend time with his children Mark, Luke and Sylvia.

George’s kind soul, gentle nature and generosity to others will be deeply missed…

There will be a private interment at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.

Celebration of Life reception will be held at the Lake Wilderness Villa Clubhouse, Maple Valley, WA. on July 10th at 1:00 p.m.
