GRACE EILEEN BENNETT

GRACE EILEEN BENNETT  a resident of Startup, Washington passed away the morning of December 15, 2010 at Bothell Life Care Center.   Grace was born December 3, 1926 to Ludwig (Louis) and Josephine Thomsen in McGrath, Minnesota.

She is survived by her brothers James, Louis and Vernon, significant companion “Bud” Mock, sons Robert, Larry and David, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Rita and son Douglas.

Grace married Robert O Bennett, January 7, 1945.  They moved from Minnesota to Washington State in 1957. She divorced Robert in 1962 and raised their 5 children as a single parent.  She met Bud at a square dance in 1973 and they have been together since.  She retired from Boeing Aerospace. Grace was a strong woman and dedicated mother and sister.  She had a great love for her family.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, square dancing, growing roses, picking blueberries and playing cards; especially winning blackjack tournaments.

Grace’s strength, spirit for life and love will be missed.
