Jeffrey Craig VanSickle, 47, unexpectedly passed away on March 21, 2015 in Seattle, Washington.
Jeff was born in Trenton, TN, but grew up in Boise, ID, after his family moved there when Jeff was just four years old. He was a graduate of the University of Idaho. After college, Jeff joined the Army and served four years, mostly stationed in Germany. His final duty station was at Fort Lewis, WA, and after his honorable discharge in 1993, decided to make Seattle his home. He had a long career as a medical records transcriptionist at both Swedish and Harborview Medical Centers.
Jeff had a long-time fascination with and love of dolphins. He was creative and artistic, and loved to knit, sew his own clothes, and make elaborate costumes for Halloween. His friends will lovingly remember his humor, his wit, and his generosity of spirit.
Jeff is survived by his significant other, David Aragon, his father Roy VanSickle, and his brother Ron VanSickle. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Alice VanSickle, nee Watson.
Jeff’s wish was for his ashes to be scattered in the ocean where he can swim forever with the dolphins he loved so much.
