Jocelyn Rene Moore was born in Colfax, Washington on Dec. 27, 1950, to Ted and June Moore. Jocelyn is survived by her daughter, son, daughter-in-law, and grandson.
In 1973 Jocelyn received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Eastern Washington University. Her early career was as a Registered Nurse which led to a career as a pharmaceutical salesperson. She excelled as the number one sales representative nationwide at her company. Jocelyn decided to transition back into nursing and received the highly respected Oncology Nursing Certification. Her clinical experience as a hospital nurse was in one of the most demanding nursing specialties of Oncology Bone Marrow ICU. She was a distinctly skilled nurse, who provided excellent care and compassion to her patients and trained residency doctors. Lastly, Jocelyn was a Healthcare Insurance Case Manager who continued her career with a remarkable work ethic and dedication to her patients.
Throughout her life Jocelyn enjoyed her pets including cats and dogs, outdoor adventures including boating, snow skiing, water skiing, hunting, and fishing and her passions including crafting and gardening. She taught her kids to appreciate creativity and nature by involving them in artistic projects and outdoor activities.
Jocelyn’s children meant the world to her. Her children are blessed to have had such a nurturing and supportive mother. Her beautiful daughter, Stacy is a real estate professional in Washington, District of Columbia who graduated with an undergrad degree from University of Washington and a graduate degree from Georgetown University. Her distinguished son, Sean is a Chief Executive Officer in Spokane, Washington who graduated with an undergrad degree from Western Washington University. Her wonderful grandson, Dylan is a 2-year-old who graduated from all things dump trucks to all things spiderman this year.
In April 2022, Jocelyn was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. She passed away peacefully at her home in Sedro Woolley, Washington under the loving care of her daughter on Feb. 8, 2023. Jocelyn will be laid to rest under the family legacy of Cedar Lawns Memorial Park in Redmond, Washington. Her family will cherish the fond memories of Jocelyn until they are reunited with her in heaven.
