Judith A. Sperle, 71, of Kent, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 16, 2023 at the hospital, surrounded by family.
Judy was born on February 13, 1952, in Seattle, Washington, to Betty Winchester. Judy attended Cleveland High School in Seattle and graduated a year late in 1971 after the loss of her mother when she was 15 years old.
Judy, who lovingly referred to herself as a “true Pacific Northwest girl”, lived in the King County area for much of her life. She worked in the Kent School District for much of her career, where she became the best lunch lady ever; loved by her many students and colleagues throughout the years.
Judy and her husband Roger were married in 1990 and remained so for the rest of her life. Judy and Roger both brought their own children into the marriage but had none together.
Judy was known to be the heart of every situation she was involved in. She loved her girls, baking for her loving neighbors and her local sports teams. Judy went camping with family as much as possible when the girls were young and continued with the girls’ sports and road trips to see her favorite hockey team play. Judy enjoyed her retirement to the fullest with her husband and visits to the girls when they moved away and her beloved dogs.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother Betty, stepdaughter Kathy, stepson Robert and is survived by her husband, Roger; her daughters Juli (Timothy) and Jodi (Matthew); his children: Kimberly (Gregory) and Roger Dean; as well as their grandchildren.
