1971- 2020
Seattle, Washington- Beloved Brother, Uncle and Friend, Kevin Blake died unexpectedly at home on August 6, 2020. Kevin was raised in Quaker Hill, Connecticut to the late Stanley and Lucille Blake. Kevin was a proud member of Tlingit: Saanya Kwaan Neix.adi Clan from Saxman Alaska. Kevin is of the Halibut/Beaver clan house and Raven Moiety. Kevin moved to Florida at age 18 and found this was his true home. Kevin graduated from Florida International University, in Miami, with a degree in physical therapy. He specialized in geriatric therapy, compassionately helping many veterans of war in the Veterans Hospital in Miami, later working in home health throughout Miami.
Kevin was well known for his quick wit and passionate nature. Kevin had many passions that ranged from cooking to miniature schnauzers, but his true passion was for learning. His love of learning and his curious nature is what compelled him to talk with everyone, to travel, and taste new foods. These passions usually led to entertaining stories, which Kevin loved to share with everyone. Kevin’s laugh and his dramatic way telling stories will be greatly missed.
Kevin is survived by his two siblings, Stanley Blake Jr. of Bremerton, WA and Lorraine Williams of Clear Brook, VA, as well as his nephew and niece, Devin and Amanda Williams, also of Clear Brook, VA.
A celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Please share any thoughts, pictures, and memories of a man who is gone too soon.
