Kevin Milo Nagel passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 11th surrounded by his wife and two daughters.
Kevin was born to Florence (Damon) and Howard Nagel on February 15, 1940 in Vancouver, WA.
Kevin attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where he played varsity football and was a member of Air Force ROTC. After college, Kevin was posted to March Air Force Base in Riverside, California. He spent six months in Vietnam where he worked in the emerging field of interpretation of satellite imagery. After fulfilling his military commitment, he was recruited by the Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington DC, where he spent a 30-year career, including seven years on loan to the Central Intelligence Agency. Kevin was proud to be a pioneer in the field of satellite imagery and intelligence.
Kevin met his wife of fifty-two years, Judith Rhenn Nagel, in Southern California. They were married in Northern Virginia where they settled and raised their two daughters. Retirement and family steered them to relocate in the Pacific Northwest. Grand kids, train travel, fishing, hunting and gardening led to a busy and active life.
An avid football fan, Kevin never missed a Seahawks game during his 20 years as a season ticket holder. He would be pleased to know that his oldest grandson described heaven as “every day is Seahawk Super Bowl Sunday.’
Kevin is survived by his wife, Judy Rhenn Nagel of Bothell WA, his daughter Debra Goss (Keith) of Woodinville, WA, granddaughters, Kalin and Erin Goss , his other daughter, Kristin Wells (Jim) of Renton, WA, grandsons, Leo and Milo Wells and his sister Marlene Nagel Hansen (Grant) of Vancouver, WA.
A private military burial will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held in the future.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Evergreen Hospice Care. www.evergreenhealth.com or (425) 899-1040
