March 10, 1956—March 27, 2011
Kimberley J (Smith) McTyeire died March 27, 2011 shortly after her 55th birthday, following a heroic three-year battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her beautiful and talented daughter, Sarah Gabrielle McTyeire, 16, her 3 sisters, Leslie Smith, Tracey (Smith) McTyeire and Allyson (Smith) Templeton, 3 nieces, Cicely (Smith) Lux, Lauren Templeton and McKenzie Templeton, and by 2 great nephews, Jason Lux and Riley Lux, and by countless friends, many whose friendship dated back to high school, some even earlier. Kim grew up in the house her father built in Bothell, Washington and graduated from Inglemoor High School where she spent much of her time in the drama club performing in a number of school productions. These productions continued under her direction in the basement of her house where she enlisted the accompaniment of her younger sisters and neighborhood friends. She also was the Founder and acting President of the exclusive Knuckleheads Club. Kim had a heart of gold and her generosity was endless, despite her meager means. She lived the last 10 years of her life in Montana where she worked for the Forestry Dept in Missoula and then as a legal secretary in Helena while raising her daughter. A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, April 17th at 2:00 pm at the home of Allyson Templeton 2806 236th St SW, Brier, WA 98036. Bring a photo and/or a story. Raise a glass. Say a prayer. Celebrate her life. Bid her goodbye.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made towards a college fund for Sarah McTyeire at Watermark Credit Union’s Uniform Trust to Minors Account for Sarah McTyeire c/o Allyson Templeton.
