Linda J. Larsen

Linda J. Larsen (Ossinger) passed away peacefully at PRMC Everett Hospice Care Center on May. 30, 2022. Linda had been suffering from multiple health issues, including a neurological disorder and 2 strokes. The most recent stroke occurred two days after Thanksgiving, causing dementia. She fought hard but never recovered from the last stroke.

Linda was born in Seattle, WA on August 20, 1951, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969.  She was a resident of Gold Bar, WA since 1983.  Linda worked in the restaurant industry, and in 1985 she joined the Gold Bar Fire Dept (Sno Co Fire 26) as a First Responder and part-time secretary. In 1998 she became the first full-time paid Fire District 26 employee as their Fire Admin, where she worked until health issues caused her to retire on April 1,2018, after 32 years. She gained many great friends during this time.

Linda was also a long-time member of the Washington State Fire Chiefs Fire Administration Support Section. She was a two-time chairperson and former Member of the Year, with many great memories.

She loved trips and camping at the river in Oso and Lake Roosevelt, and enjoyed trips to Reno and local casinos. She was a big Seattle sports fan, especially the Seahawks, and was a 39-year season ticket holder. Linda was also a Sno Co Seahawker, and took trips to the HOF in Canton, Ohio for Tez in 2012 and Training Camp in Cheney. Linda also dearly loved her cats Tiger and Winnie.

She is survived by her husband, Marney, brothers Jerry (Karyn) and Tom (Louise), and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and aunts/uncles.  She was preceded in death by her brother Robert and his wife Esther, and her parents Clifford and Mamie Ossinger.

A special Thank You to Dr. Alyssa Stickney and the Providence East County Health Care team for their dedicated care the past 4 years.

Thanks also to our great friends, Linda Palmer/Dick Wisdom and Kathy Moore-Curnutt /Terry Rockney for all the support and help, especially the past few years.   Linda will be missed by her many beloved friends and family.
