June 1, 1929 to March 24, 2012
Mary was born and raised in Seattle Washington. She met the love of her life Joe Darby when she was 16 years old. Fell in love and ran away to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to marry him on September 4, 1946. They made their family home in Eastgate (Bellevue) for 45 years and most recently in Renton.
Mary went to work when her youngest daughter, Christine went to school. She worked in the manufacturing field of making circuit boards for medical equipment (mostly working under a microscope). She went into management and finished her career in the late 1980 ’s after working for Crane Interpoint for about 30 years.
In her retirement, she loved being with her husband Joe…. They enjoyed trips to the ocean to wander the beaches looking for treasures. She loved her family and spending time with them. She opened her heart to all around her and the love she gave she got back in return.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Diane (Dee Dee) Albright (Dave), Christine Henderson (Darryl), Grandchildren, Amy Weideman, Joseph Goforth (Jacque), and Ciara Rose Darby, Great Granddaughter Zoey Goforth.
Sister Barbara Miller, Brothers Joe F. Miller (Evie) Arizona, Frank Miller (Janet) Renton, Sister in Law Barbara (Darby) Kuzaro. As well as many she considered and treated as her own; Connie Briski, Peggy Brumbaugh (Castagnola), Kelly (Tina) and Kathi Sliger.
Preceded in death by her husband Joe C. Darby and son Alan L Darby.
She is also survived by many extended family members that she held very close to her heart, as well as her in your hearts. You all know who you are. She was caring and generous and loved by all. She will be greatly missed by all.
