Malcolm Carl Gorham

September 22, 1929- April 21, 2016

Malcolm was born in Minneapolis Minnesota to Arthur J. and Hester Marie Gorham (Welo). Mal married Joan (Jehn) and raised their young family in Minneapolis while employed by Northwest Airlines. They relocated to Hoquiam WA in 1958 where he began a long career as a Radio Broadcast Announcer and later did the same in Bremerton and finally settling in Seattle. He retired from Pacific Northwest Bell in 1987 after a long and rewarding career. In his retirement he took the time to enjoy his grandchildren and spent countless and passionate hours researching family genealogy. His love for music led him to be an avid collector of antique vinyl records and old radios. He could be found most mornings enjoying the company of many retired friends and acquaintances at the local Burgermaster restaurant in the University District

His parents Arthur and Hester, and brother Jay, predeceased Malcolm. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Joan Gorham (Jehn), sister Juanita Gorham, brother Nathaniel Gorham, son Bruce, (Julie) grand children Alyssa Gorham, Clayton Gorham, Emily (Matt) Soule, and David Gorham, daughter Cheryl (David) Ford, grand children Kelly Meister (Joseph) and Christopher Meister. In addition, great grandchildren, Audrey, Isabella, Sebastian and Shane, nieces Patricia, Roberta, Deborah, Judy, Donna, and nephew Jay Jr.

A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday Apr 28th at Calvary Cemetery, 5041 35th NE, Seattle WA, 98105

Gathering to follow at BurgerMaster at 1pm, 3040 NE 45th Seattle, WA.
