Faye Paxson Hager

 

Faye Paxson Hager passed away on February 1, 2016. Faye was born June 11, 1935 to Sylvanus Frederick Paxson and Susan Lucinda Meaders in Monroe Oklahoma and graduated from Harding University in 1956. She was married February 1, 1957. Faye taught English for many years and spent over two decades as an executive at The Boeing Company. Faye loved to sing and had a beautiful soprano voice. Among her talents were cooking, gardening, bridge, and a rare wit. She was very energetic and had a quick intelligence.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Claude Lewis Hager; sister, Sue Paxson Davis of Ooltewah, TN; daughters Kelly Hager (Thomas Otten) of Dedham, MA and Jennifer Hager (Julian Bray) of Tacoma, WA; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Bellevue Church of Christ on Friday, February 5 at 2 p.m. Those wishing to make donations in Faye’s memory can donate to Abilene Christian University or to the charity of their choice.
