Victor Joseph Verola

Victor Joseph Verola, age 72, died peacefully at the Evergreen Hospice Center September 1st 2015 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Victor was born on September 14, 1942 the eldest of 5 children to parents Carmine and Josephine Verola. Victor met the love of his life Ivana, while serving in the US army and stationed in Italy. During their 50 years of marriage, Victor and Ivana raised 3 children, moved to various parts of the country and 15 years ago relocated to Bothell, WA with family.
As a Service Operations Director, Victor had a successful career with Philips Healthcare where he fostered life-long friendships and made a positive impact on many people. Vic retired from Philips in 2007 after 26 years. In retirement, Victor and Ivana traveled extensively and visited many beautiful national parks camping with their children and grandchildren. Victor had a 2007 july Yosemite 054passion for life and was devoted to his Catholic faith as a parishioner at St Brendan Catholic Church in Bothell. Victor loved to share his wisdom and experiences with others and often reminded his family how blessed they are in life. His favorite quotes to share were “Camping Time”, “Let’s go to the Zoo”. He is survived by his wife Ivana, sons Carmine and Victor, daughter Diane, brothers Joseph and Carmine, his sister Kathy, his dog Cuco and many great friends. Victor is preceded in death DSCN0121by his late parents, his brother John and his nephew Joey.

A Vigil Service will be held on Friday, September 4th at 7:00 pm and a funeral mass on Saturday, September 5th at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Bothell. Friends of Victor may wish to make a donation to the Pancreatic Action Cancer Network in lieu of flowers.
