George Waldamar Lind III

December 21st, 1944 – April 29th, 2015

George Waldamar Lind, 70, was called to the side of our Lord on April 29th, 2015.

He is survived by his wife Donna of 46 years; daughter Amy, sons George, Geoff, Joseph, Gregory and seven grandchildren.

George was born in 1944 in Everett, WA. He spent his childhood days with his friends and sister Theresa exploring the Snohomish river and surrounding woods, fishing, swimming, playing baseball and football, picking strawberries in the summer, and working his paper route and mowing lawns for money.

George attended Jr. High school at Perpetual help in Everett, WA. It was in his early teenage years that George began his lifelong love affair with music. He played guitar, and steel guitar in his first band and continued playing for the remainder of his life.

Upon graduating from Everett High School in 1962 George attended a local tech school where he studied computer programming. At the age of 19 he joined the Army where he continued training in advanced computer programming. He spent his final two years of service at the Pentagon programming computers for war games. He served from 1963 to 1966.

George returned to the Northwest and after a brief stint as a logger in Roseburg, OR moved back to Washington where he met and married the love of his life. George eventually took a position with the Washington Schools Information Processing Consortium (WSIPC) where he retired after 25 years of service.

George being George quickly found himself restless and took a consulting position with Jorgenson Forge, in Seattle where he worked for many years. George was a man that found deep satisfaction in a hard days work. From hay to eBay, he always had something to keep idle hands away.

George had many loves. Hunting with his sons, spoiling his only daughter, playing his guitars, vacationing with his entire family, mining sapphires in Montana, and making sure he was never more than a few feet from Donna’s side. However, his greatest passion was his love of the Lord and his desire to share his message of salvation with anyone the Lord put in front of him. His heart and his home were always open to anyone in need. He leaves a legacy of love and faith in the hearts and minds of all those that came to know him. His memory will continue to inspire others to cultivate the seeds of faith that he has planted.

George will forever be remembered by those who had the great privilege of knowing him.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9th at 1:00pm at Parkridge Community Church in Bothell, WA
