Phyllis was born July 2, 1927, to Helen F. Minnich and Virgil S. Minnich, of Daytona Beach, FL. She passed peacefully in her sleep, and through the gates of heaven on March 3, 2014.
Phyllis graduated from Sea Breeze High School in Daytona Beach in 1946 and then joined the Navy where she served for sixteen years. She was married and then divorced from J. Milton Clark while in the Navy. She lived in Queens Village, Long Island NY, Fairfield, CT Jacksonville, FL and Franklin, NC until moving west to the Seattle area to be with family in 2010.
Phyllis had a successful career working as Vice President at General Electric Company where she brought insurance innovations, and high level of customer service to the industrial leasing division.
She was a dedicated Christian who loved her church family and proud member of the Red Hat Society. She loved her pets and most recently her toy poodle Beau. She collected decorative frogs from all corners of the world, and was known as the Frog Lady to friends and family.
Crusty on the outside and tender in the middle, she always extended a helping and loving hand to those in need. Phyllis will be missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind her sister Mary (Tinker) Sutter of Mercer Island, WA and her brother Fred S. Minnich of Leavenworth, Kansas along with many nieces and nephews.
