Our beloved Tim passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2014. He was 65 years old, lived a full life, and was loved by many. He will be dearly missed.
Tim is survived by his mother, Betty Liddle, sisters Lory Huck, Nancy Rasmussen, Sheila Metz, Jan Phillips, and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, the late Robert Liddle.
He was born in Spokane, Washington on October 13th, 1948. He lived in Portland, Oregon and Kirkland, Washington during his childhood years. He graduated from Lake Washington high school in 1967. Tim served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a Yeoman. After returning from the service he was employed by NOAA.
He held a BA in English from the University of Washington and a Masters degree from City University. His credentials included: LMHC, CDP, and MAC.
Tim found his passion as a treatment counselor and was a friend of Bill W. He worked at Lakeside Milam Treatment center during the Eighties, and then branched off in several of his own businesses focusing on treatment, counseling, training, and consulting. Lastly, he became the Senior Treatment Administrator of the Free By The Sea treatment center when it opened last year.
His friends attest that he helped hundreds of people during his long career and was loved by many. His philosophy was living “One day at a Time…”
Tim loved life and was an avid golfer. One of his proudest accomplishments was that he shot a 64 at age 64! He also loved his motorcycles and other toys. He obtained his private pilot license and enjoyed flying as much as he could.
Tim loved his dog, Mork, who was by his side right to the end.
We will miss Tim dearly, but know he is with our Father up in heaven and as Tim would say “Golfing with Dad at Pebble Beach”.
Here’s to a great man we admired and loved dearly!
