Consolacion Lansangan Mangune

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Consolacion Lansangan Mangune, also known as “Conching,” 85, left us on December 5, 2013 in Seattle, Washington. Our hearts were filled with grief and sorrow for a part of us went with her. But in our hearts are full of wonderful memories of her that will certainly live forever.

Consolacion was born on April 7, 1928 and was raised in Sapangbato Angeles City, Pampanga. Later in life, moved to Dau Mabalacat, Pampanga where she met her husband, Ramon G. Mangune. She was a mother to 13 children, survived by 10 of her children, Eduardo, Narciso, Reynaldo, Israelito, Querubina, Ulysses, Enriqueta, Jesus Lee, John and Gloria. She was preceded in death by her parents Petronilo and Rosa, her husband Ramon, 3 of her children and her grandson Christian.

Tailoring and dressmaking had been her all-time favorite hobby and career. She was working as an on-call dressmaker Mangune2for the military wives in Clark Air base, where she found the love of her life, her husband, Ramon, who was working as a security guard in the NCO club in the said Air base.

Consolacion was a very sweet, loving and caring woman. She truly loved her family that she would put their welfare above her own. She was not only a loving mother and grandmother, but she was also a great teacher, a teacher of good deeds; the one who taught us to love and have faith in our Lord, God for He is almighty and our Creator who gave this borrowed life of ours; to fear the Lord and pray to Him always. She also taught us the great importance of loving one another as a family; to learn to give and forgive; to share with one other. Consolacion will be greatly missed by her family. Her love, care and dedication to her family were exceptional that can never be forgotten. Her sweet memories will be cherished forever and will remain alive in the hearts of everyone whom life she has touched so dearly.

A celebration of Consolacion’s beautiful life will be held on December 21, 2013 at 1:00-5:00pm at Barton funeral home.

We little knew that morning                                                 Mangune3

God was going to call your name

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home,

You left us with beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken

And nothing seems the same, but

As God calls us one by one

The chain will link again.
