Arthur L. Pease was born April 6, 1942 in Tacoma, WA and died October 18, 2013 in Kirkland, WA.
He attended elementary school in Tacoma, junior and senior high school in Federal Way, graduating in 1960. He continued his studies at the University of Washington, and earned certification in aviation mechanics from the Northrop Institute of Technology (Inglewood, CA).
Arthur showed a keen interest in music beginning in elementary school, first studying piano, accordion, and eventually percussion instruments. He was drummer for a rock and roll band, The Adventurers that was active around the Puget Sound region in the late 1950s; and he played for various dance bands under the direction of Burke Garrett. He co-founded a dance combo known as The Classics, with Bill Hahn (bass), and Dorin Robinson (piano).
He was employed by the Boeing company for over 28 years, initially in aviation mechanics (1966-70) and eventually as a computer systems analyst from 1983 until his retirement in 2007.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur W. and Fay H. Pease; his brother, Aldridge H. Pease, and his former wife, Patricia Telgenhoff Pease. Survivors include his brother, Frederic Pease (Jane), his sister, Patricia Pease (Lincoln Clark); his beloved daughters, Jennifer Anne Nelson (Jeffrey), Erin Margaret Pease, and Rebecca Fay Pease; Jeffrey and Phillip Telgenhoff (sons of Patricia Telgenhoff Pease) and his adored grandchildren, Ruby Anne and Davis Marty Nelson. Other survivors include several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Wedgwood (Seattle), on Saturday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m.
