Kenneth Gerard Gilfeather “Gil,” born December 14, 1959 in Utica, NY passed away after a short illness on March 23, 2013 in Seattle, Washington where he was a resident for the last 15 years.
He is predeceased by his father, Frank Gilfeather, his mother, Marilyn Core Hervey, his step-father, David Hervey. He is survived by his two children Kaitlyn Michelle and Devon Patrick, brothers Thomas Gilfeather, Martin Gilfeather, and Patrick Gilfeather, sisters Lynn Hervey, Michele Summers, Beth Blowers, and Sarah Hervey, brothers-in-law Ronald Summers and Bob Blowers, his sister-in-law Arianne Fowler, and ten nieces and nephews.
“Gil” was an avid outdoorsman, finding his peace in nature enjoying hiking, camping, and fishing frequently. He was known for his infectious laugh, sense of humor, and cheerful attitude. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a cook, groundsman, carpenter, and painter. While living in Seattle, he spent much of his time volunteering at many community outreach agencies.
