Lynn Pollock Kennison lost her long battle with cancer at the age of 66 on Monday, June 27th, 2016 in Seattle, Wa.
She was with her family and close friends and we all felt at peace and surrounded by love. Lynn is survived by her husband Jon Kennison in Seattle, brother Dave Pollock in Seattle, sister & brother-in-law Nancy & Jack Koentopp in Spokane, nephews Michael & Corey Koentopp, niece & nephew Anna & Sam Pollock, step-son Strojan & his wife Holly, and step-son Drew & his wife Jamie, and their children Cole & Cooper.
Lynn was born in Spokane, Wa. and attended Lewis & Clark H.S.. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1973 and gained her Associate in Technical Arts Degree in Paralegal Studies in 1976. Working as a paralegal during the day, she paid her own way through law school and graduated from Seattle University Law School in 1982. Lynn was Selected as a Super Lawyer in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012.
She was a former Chairperson of the King County Family Law Section; served for five years on the Wa. State Family Law Executive Committee; and has both chaired and served on numerous King County and Washington State Bar committees.
Lynn has been a speaker and faculty member of numerous CLEs on family law and frequently served as a Pro Tem Family Law Commissioner and Judge Pro Tem, before limiting her practice to alternative dispute resolution.
Lynn was a partner with the Seattle firm of Pollock & Besk PLLC, formally known as Bartlett, Pollock & Besk, a firm which specializes in mediation and arbitration of family law issues. She loved her work and the wonderful friends & associates she had the privilege to know.
Lynn loved her flowers, and she & Nanc would spend every spring planning their gardens, coming to Spokane to shop at their favorite greenhouse and planting together at both Lynn’s home in Chelan and Nanc’s Spokane Home. She loved her dogs, her family and friends.
Lynn was strong and so very loyal. She was a gift to everyone that knew & loved her. She had time this spring to spend quality with her friends and family and every day was filled with gratitude.
The family would like to thank the many people and organizations that helped us walk this path of cancer, the struggles that came with this disease and the strength to get through it.

Lynn’s family was completely surrounded with professional care and guidance. What a blessing they all are.
