July 22, 1967 – July 7, 2016
The world lost a beautiful man and a kind soul with the sudden passing of Willie Ray “Bunn” James, 49, of Seattle Washington, on July 7, 2016.
Known for his integrity and desire to put others’ needs before his own, Bunn was a caring and patient man who always had good things to say. That is except, when he would unleash his larger-than-life personality and clever wit.
Willie Ray James was born July 22, 1967, in Monroe, Louisiana, the son of Willie Lee James and Rosie Daniels McGuire, of Monroe, Louisiana. He graduated from Richwood High School. Shortly after graduation, he relocated to Seattle, Washington, where he worked in the food service industry, with the Wendy’s Corporation.
His conscientious approach to his job mirrored his life at home. He provided a glowing example of how to live life through a commitment to professional and personal excellence. He did everything first-class, believing anything less than his best was a waste of time and talent.
Willie Ray’s family would like to extend a special thank you for all of your support during these difficult times. Willie Ray was a special part of our family who will live on forever in our hearts. He was blessed with so many great friends. We want to express our heart-felt gratitude and say thank you to each one of you for making this difficult time a little easier. He will have a special place in all our hearts, and through our cherished memories he will live on forever.
In addition to his parents, Willie Ray is survived by two sisters, Sgt. Sheila K. James, Houston, TX; Deborah J. Brown (Harland), Blacksburg, VA; two brothers: Donald Ray James, Seattle, WA, and Elton Neal James, Monroe, LA; he was a father figure and a favorite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, whether through blood or friendship; and also leaves cherished memories to his uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
The family has asked that condolences and donations be sent to his parents: Mrs. Rosie Lee Daniels McGuire, 501 South Grand Plaza, Apt. 115, Monroe, La. 71201 and Willie Lee James, 116 Carter Dr., Monroe, La. 71203
