Sheila Patricia (Hickey) Williams

Sheila with Koala

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Patricia (Hickey) Williams on February 3, 2017. Sheila was born in Rochester NY to Stephen R and Irene (Babe) Hickey. She met the love of her life, Maurice, on a blind date. Eventually settling in New Jersey a company transfer sent them to Washington State in the mid 1970’s. A love for the area and retirement took them back in 1995.

A patron of the arts, Sheila loved attending the opera, ballet, symphony, theater, museums and galleries worldwide. She was an accomplished pianist, an equestrian, loved skiing, and a beloved Gr. Shorthair Pointer her constant

companion. She and Maury enjoyed sailing and exploring the waters of Puget Sound. Cruises took them around the world and Europe’s inland waterways. Her brilliant smile, non-stop sense of humor, grace and the endless sound of fingers skipping across ivory keys pounding out Rachmaninov or the smooth notes of Beethoven’s Fur Elise will be sorely missed.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen R and Irene Hickey Sr., Brother Stephen R Hickey Jr. She is survived by her husband Maurice, daughter’s Pamela and Paula (Steve); son’s Todd (Erlinda) and Kurtis; Sister Phyllis Hickey; four grandchildren; David, Stephanie, Jacob and Abby; numerous friends and family across the country and her ever vigilant Shorthair, Max.

The Family would like to thank Evergreen Health Hospice Care and staff for their devoted support, compassion and exceptional care with a special thank you to Sue, Carol, Jan and Joe.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity, ASPCA or the Parkinson’s Foundation.

A funeral service will be held at Barton’s Family Funeral Service, Kirkland WA on February 28, 2017.
