William Charles Conquest (Bill Conquest), 68, passed away after a battle with lung cancer in Kirkland on Thursday, July 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill will always be remembered for his cunning wit, boisterous personality, and ability to make everyone feel comfortable in his presence.
Bill was born in Tacoma, Washington, and spent his childhood in Bellevue and his later adolescence in Puyallup. After obtaining a degree in education from Central Washington College, Bill worked in Alaska in the seafood industry. It was there that he met his wife of 30 years, Julia (Julie) Brennan.
After marrying, Bill and Julie moved to Kirkland where they raised their two children Jessica (Jessie) Jane Conquest and Joseph (Joe) Brennan Conquest.
In the early 90s, Bill started a mobile RV repair business, Northwest Mobile RV Service, which he ran for over a decade before eventually returning to his roots selling seafood at Fred Meyer in Totem Lake.
A lifelong Washington resident, Bill had a deep love and appreciation for the Pacific Northwest. His favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, and listening to rock-n-roll.
Bill will be missed by all who knew him, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of his family.
He is survived by his wife Julie; his three children Jessica, Joseph, and Victor Conquest; his mother Jean Conquest; his two sisters Margo Bacon and Sheri McDonell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Conquest.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 12600 84th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98034. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
