Jim Cunningham passed away peacefully on January 16, 2020 after a battle with Lymphoma. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Jim was born November 12th, 1953 in Moscow Idaho, to Frederick and Marian Cunningham. Following high school graduation he joined the military as a Marine where he served his country for several years. Once back on shore, Jim began his civilian career working for the railroad and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Lewis and Clark College. He would later receive his MBA from Gonzaga University as well as a deep passion for Zaggs basketball. He enjoyed his career in construction management and made many friends along the way.
Jim preferred to spend his time on the water as an avid fisherman and boater. He was also a rock music enthusiast, dog lover and world traveler. While he’s explored many reaches of the earth, he preferred the relaxing sandy beaches of Maui.
He is survived by his wife Dianne Fessler, human and dog children Nicole, Cody and Callie, as well as his brothers Tom, David, and Pat Cunningham and Bill Beale. Blessed with a large family Jim also leaves behind several wonderful nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor his memory are encouraged to make a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
