Dorothy Sexton passed away on April 4, 2020 at the age of 93. She was blessed to have been surrounded by her loving daughters.
She was born to Arthur J Krahn and Earlaine Krahn on August 21, 1926. She grew up in Ballard attending all grades up through Ballard High School. She then attended Northwest Bible College in Kirkland, Washington.
For many years Dorothy was a member of Kenmore Assembly of God in Kenmore, Washington where she was the Sunday school superintendent.
Dorothy’s hobbies included knitting, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles. She knitted many hats for Pathways For Women in Lynnwood, Washington.
Dorothy was preceded in death by Clarence Compin (Married 1948-1979) and Donald Sexton (1980-2018), her parents Arthur J Krahn and Earlaine Krahn, her beloved sisters Bernice and Merle, her loving brother Edward and her son Thomas Krahn.
Surviving her are her beloved children; Lynn Russell (Yakima, WA), Mary Cecsarini (Marysville, WA), Marge Compin (& Steve Day, Everett, WA), Patti Colins (Edmonds, WA) and Pam Knutson (& Paul Knutson, Beaverton, OR). She is also survived by two step-daughters; Connie Dawson and Carrie Sexton, and well as her niece Linda Wolfenbarger and nephew David Hannam.
Dorothy is survived by her precious grandchildren; Thomas (Scooter) Krahn, Kelly Krahn, DJ Sherwood, Theresa Sherwood, Deborah Sherwood, Ryan Knutson, Kim Knutson, Rebecca Collins, Jamison Collins, Liz Collins, Ben Collins, Felicia Den Adel, DeDe Collins-Bullock, Derek Collins, Lisa Primrose, Kevin Primrose and Vicki Bowman.
She had numerous great and great-great grandchildren who were well loved by her.
A memorial service will be planned for sometime in late summer at Edmonds City Park. Contributions made in Dorothy Sexton’s name to the American Cancer Society are welcome and appreciated.
