Oswald Littlefield Aydlett,II
Oswald (Ozzie) Littlefield Aydlett II, 61, of Bothell, WA passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at the VA Hospital in Seattle, WA on December 7, 2021 with his wife, Jed, by his side. A private visitation will be held Friday December 17, 2021 from 2-4 pm at Barton Funeral Home in Kirkland, WA.
An interment ceremony will be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA on January 4, 2022 at 1:30 pm.
Ozzie was born at Johnson Air Force Base, Japan on June 29, 1960. He was one of four children of his belated parents Oswald Littlefield Aydlett and Betty Meekins Aydlett.
He was a graduate of Bossier High School in Louisiana in 1978, and went on to join the U. S. Coast Guard in 1979. He served as a Storekeeper in the U.S. Coast Guard for 8 years in various locations including Alaska, North Carolina and Florida.
After his military service, Ozzie pursued further education at Louisiana Tech University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, as well as his Masters in Science. He also obtained his MBA in Finance and PhD in Organizational Leadership, as well. In 2016, he also received his Doctorate of Law, focusing on pharmaceutical science and medical device law.
Ozzie had a successful career for over 25 years as an FTE and consultant for medical devices, biotechnology, FDA and Research and Development, and business process improvement.
Ozzie enjoyed his work, his family, and also traveling to various places around the world including Beijing China, Singapore and Thailand, as well as the Philippines, where he has a wonderful extended family.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 11 years, Jed Aydlett, their son, Yuri, and their precious dog, Oreo; sisters Chanda Aydlett of Bossier City, LA, Carrietta Aydlett Boswell (Jim) of Flower Mound, TX and Danette Aydlett Akins (Rick) of Pelham, AL; also, nephews and nieces Chris (Emily), Matthew (Ashley), and Michael (Kayla) Pitre, Jameson, Cameron, and Allison Boswell, and Andrew and Marianne Akins.
He will truly be missed by all his family and friends. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, Colon Cancer Foundation, or charity of your choice.
