Patricia Myers

Patricia Elizabeth Myers was born January 6, 1950 in Long Beach, California. She was the second of four kids born to Robert and Esther Myers.

As a military family they lived in many different states, eventually settling in Seattle in 1965 when her dad took a job as a Boeing engineer. Pat graduated from Franklin High School (Seattle, WA) in 1968. She worked at Pacific NW Bell for many years before becoming a stay-at-home mom and opening a daycare.

Pat had a smile that would absolutely light up her face and an infectious laugh. She was very compassionate and was always the first to help somebody in need. She dedicated the last years of her career before retiring to working with adults with disabilities at Work Opportunities. She was very passionate about her job. She also did volunteer work at her local hospital. Pat was also involved with Girl Scouts as a youth and continued on as her two daughters’ Girl Scout leader for many years.

Patricia was an avid Seattle Mariners and Seahawks fan. She enjoyed going to the beach and the casino, reading and having lunch with her friends. She loved cats! She had cats her whole life. She referred to herself as “the crazy cat lady”. She especially loved black and white cats with white paws and named most of them Boots or Miss Boots.

She was a loving mother to three children and an amazing and very loving grandmother of 8 grandkids and two great-grandkids. She never forgot to send a card and/or a gift to every one of them for each birthday and holiday.

Patricia passed away at her home in Lynnwood, WA on September 23rd. She is preceded in death by her parents and her youngest sister, Kathlyn Stanberry. She is survived by her sister Linda Myers of Hayward, CA, her brother John (Lenore) Myers of Sparks, NV; her daughters Cindy Hoff (Adam Oster) of Sherwood, OR, Stephanie (Justin) Virgin of Happy Valley, OR; her son Brian (Heidi) Leggett of McMinnville, OR; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. You will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts Mom.

Please send any condolences to Barton Funeral Home in Kirkland, WA to be forwarded to Cindy Hoff and Brian Leggett. There will be a small personal memorial with family and friends next year.
