Michael Emery Davis, 57, of Kirkland, WA passed away January 25, 2023. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sheila Anne Warren & Patrick O’Rourke of Grayland, WA, his brother & sister-in-law, Zackary & Vicki Davis of Middleboro, MA., his daughter, Isabella Davis of Austin, TX and her mother, Alexandra Pease, his two sons, Addison and Levi Davis and their mother, Tatia Davis of Renton, WA.
Michael was born in Columbia, SC on June 4, 1965 to Sheila Anne Warren and Jeffery Edward Davis. The family moved extensively in the early years traveling to Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, Cleveland, OH, and Chicago, Il. After separating from Jeff, Sheila moved the family to the Pacific Northwest settling in the Mt. Baker area, then back to the Southeast, settling near the Warren family home of Nashville TN. It was in Nashville where Michael really found his passion for music and art, proving to have an exceptional ear and eye for talent well before his peers. He was a huge supporter and advocate for the local Nashville rock music scene and developed deep relationships and friendships that lasted his lifetime.
Eventually, Michael relocated to Arizona, settling in Prescott where he met Alex Pease. Michael and Alex’s daughter Isabella was born and brought immense joy to the family. Isabella and Michael shared a love of music that endures. While living in AZ, Michael was inspired to pursue his passion for design, earning his BS in Graphic Design from Arizona State University. During this time, Michael and Tatia were married with Isabella acting as the Maid of Honor. Michael and Tatia, together with Alex and her family, made the decision to move to the Seattle area where Michael could pursue graphic design, could all remain in each other’s daily lives, and be close to extended family. To the delight of his father, Addison was born with Levi completing their family’s joy three years later. Although their marriage didn’t last as long as they hoped, Michael and Tatia remained close and worked as a team to raise their children. Michael settled in Kirkland, WA, an area that he loved that kept him close to all three of his children. He cherished spending time with his family, going crabbing and fishing with his brother, cooking special meals with his mother, and sharing a variety of interests with his daughter and sons.
Michael struggled with diabetes his entire adult life as well as orthopedic trauma from an early car accident requiring hip replacement that ultimately led to several revision surgeries and a lifetime of lower extremity challenges.
In Michael’s final years, he reverted to previous experience and talents in restaurant kitchen work finding an opportunity to join the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Kirkland as their Chef. He flourished in this role, finding both inspiration and happiness, but also finding the professional family and home away from home for which he had been searching.
Michael will be honored by immediate family during a private service to be held in Glacier, WA on Monday, Feb 20, 2023.
