Timothy Lawrence Hadlett

Timothy Lawrence Hadlett was born January 11, 1951 in Los Angeles and passed away September 14, 2023 in his home in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in Gardena with his eight siblings where he developed a life-long love for music and playing guitar, which endured into his senior years. At sixteen he went to Haight-Ashbury and was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and hippie culture.

He moved to Seattle, where he worked as a welder at Todd Shipyards, an auto mechanic, and a construction and maintenance manager for Gronvold Construction.Tim had a sharp and inventive mind and a talent for designing and fabricating, which he applied to his passion for building custom bicycles and restoring vintage muscle cars. He once built a replica of a Fender amplifier from scratch. For many years, he worked as a professional musician, playing lead guitar and bass in bands in the Seattle area, including a long stint at the Baranof Restaurant.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Charles Hadlett, his sisters Heidi Hadlett and Paris Hadlett, and brother Anthony Hadlett. Tim leaves behind sisters Debbie Hadlett Mejia, Victoria Hadlett, and Penny Hadlett and brothers Harlan Hadlett and Chris Hadlett, and his long-time girlfriend Joyce Parvi.

Tim was an original. He was loyal, generous, hardworking, resourceful, and valued personal freedom above all else. His smile lit up the room. He loved animals and fed stray cats, squirrels, raccoons, and blue jays that frequented his yard. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Rest In Peace, Tim. Fly free.
