Kathryn Faith Walzer, 64, died peacefully at her home in Edmonds, WA, Thursday, November 21st.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas M Walzer, and two sons, Benjamin and Jonathan Walzer; Her parents Isobel and Richard Colson; Siblings: Sharon, Rick and Daniel Colson. Nephew, Scott Colson and Niece, Andrea Rivera.
Kathryn was born May 22, 1960 in Red Bank, NJ. She grew up in Belford and graduated an Honor Student from Middletown High School North class of 1978. She obtained her associate degree at Brookdale Community College and thereafter, obtained her Nursing Degree at Trenton State Nursing College.
She loved being a nurse and worked pediatrics night shift her entire carrier. She worked more than ten years at Riverview Hospital, now Hackensack Meridian Hospital, and twenty-two years at Providence Hospital in Everett WA, before having to retire early due to Parkinson’s Disease.
Kathryn was a beloved wife, mother and soon-to-be grandmother. She raised her family while pursuing her interests in music, sports, arts, and the great outdoors. When Kathryn was not working, she volunteered her spare time as a school aide and at church events. She obtained a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo and instructor at the Lynnwood Boys and Girls Club.
