Norma Dean Watts died today, October 15, 2021 at the age of 97 years old in Seattle, WA where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law.
She was born in Springfield, Missouri on September 7, 1924. As a young girl her family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she attended Central High School and learned to dance at Cains Ballroom, which was across from her parents store, Grants Grocery. During the war, she worked at McDonald Douglas as a messenger and later married Burnard Oliver Watts on July 27, 1946. Together they have two children, Ronald Dean and Deborah Ruth.
Norma is preceded in death by her mother and father, Howard and Myrtle Grant, her sisters, Alice Adams, Ruth Phillips and Betty Jean, her beloved husband Burnard Oliver Watts, and great-grandson Jourdan Hope.
She is survived by her two children, Ronald Watts and Deborah and Charles Wallace, six grandchildren, Michael Reasor, Ryan Watts, Summer Henson, Angela Reasor-Walker, Julie Waymire and Bonnie Drew; her seven great-grandchildren Jacob, Sean, Kamaile, Isabella, Lily, Olivia, and Stella; and her five great-great-grandchildren Rowan, Kinsley, Leah, Lincoln and James.
Norma lived a full life, was devoted to and loved dearly by her children, and many grandchildren. Her tender heart, and childlike spirit will be greatly missed.
