Patricia Meyers Deems died October 12 at age 80. Born June 13, 1930, in the Dalles, Oregon, Patty became a lifelong resident of Seattle. An only child raised by her maternal grandparents and her Aunt Hazel, she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948. Her love of people, ballet (she danced for 18 years), the beach, large dogs and decorating are memorable traits, along with those signature giant earrings! Patty’s humor and buoyant spirit encouraged many at the Northshore Senior Center, where she spent hundreds of happy hours over more than a decade.
At Acacia National Cemetary she will be laid to rest next to Todd Deems, her husband of 19 years. Patricia is survived by her children Susie Wirth, Mindy Eldredge (Jeff), Bob Ricker (Sheryl), Ken Carson (Cecilia) and five grandchildren. A gathering to honor her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, at Northwest Community Church, 11715 North Creek Parkway South, Suite 110, Bothell, WA, 98011.
