Remberto “Bert” Nable, loving husband of Pilar Sarthou Nable for the last 55 years, passed away peacefully with his wife and family members by his side on May 3, 2018 after several months of battling cancer.
Bert was born on February 5, 1937 in Manila, Philippines. He attended the University of the East in the Philippines, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 1960. He began working at the Philippine Commercial & Industrial Bank as a manager in the general accounting division shortly after graduation. He met Pilar Sarthou in June of 1961 and they married on July 6, 1963. They had three children: Mylene, Sheila and Kevin. They migrated to the United States in 1976 and settled in Seattle, Washington. He worked in the accounting divisions of the SeaFirst Bank, Northwest Kidney Center, then at the U.S. Post Office. He retired from the U.S. Post Office on September 2, 2001.
Bert was known for his devotion to his wife and family throughout their entire life together. He loved the numerous parties that he and Pilar hosted, family outings, road trips and traveling. Bert is survived by his wife, Pilar, his three children, Mylene (Ben) Claveria, Sheila deVera, and Kevin (Lovejoy) Nable, and his grandchildren, Jordan, Kalena, and Dylan Claveria, Serena DeVera, and Kaleb, Cameron, Isaiah and Jayden Nable.
