Richard Christman
Richard (Chris) Christman passed away peacefully at Kline Galland Home/Hospice Care in Seattle on May 29, 2021.
He was born on December 2, 1946 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He joined the Marines in 1964 and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Before his tour in Vietnam he was stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia where he met his future wife, Judy Barnett. They were married 38 years until her passing in 2007. Richard worked for most of his life for the Virginia Beach School District doing Paint and repairs on school buses until a work injury forced him into early retirement.
Richard moved to Washington in 2018 to be near his daughter and family.
Richard is survived by his daughter Debbie, son-in-law Damon Rutherford, granddaughters Kate and Alisha. He is also survived by his brother Barry Christman and sister Sally Ann Schmell. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Christman and wife Judy Christman.
He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who will be missed and loved forever.
His funeral will be at the Tahoma National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 8th at 2pm.
