Richard Romero

Richard Romero passed away peacefully on 16 August 2015 in Seattle, Washington. Richard was 81 years old and born in Aspermont, Texas and moved to the Pacific Northwest to join the Army. He served as an Airborne Infantryman at Fort Lewis, Washington in the early 1950s. Shortly thereafter, he met his loving bride Betty of over 55 years.
Richard was known for his commitment to his family and tireless work-ethic. He was a kind, warm, fun soul who took great pride in providing for his family in every way. Some of Richard’s favorite things to do were working in his yard, going to the driving range, collecting coins, reading Hemmingway, going to the casino and fishing. He also took great pride in volunteering for his church St Hilda/St Patrick Episcopal in Edmonds, Washington.
He is survived by his bride Betty; Daughters Stacey and Becky, Sons Richie and Shawn; several grandchildren and relatives in the Pacific NW and Texas. Richard will be most remembered for his quick sense of humor, his extraordinary drive to provide for his family, and his loving heart.
Richards Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, 25 August 2015, 1300 hrs at St Hilda/St Patrick Episcopal Church, 15224 52nd Ave W, Edmonds, Washington 98026.
