Roderick Michael Jackson

Rod was born In Pasadena California on August 18, 1971. He passed away in Seattle, WA on August 27, 2016 after an extended illness in Harborview Hospital. You are invited to come to a memorial service to share memories of his life with us at Calvary Chapel Edmonds.  The address is 8330 212TH ST SW Edmonds, WA 98026. Services will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 at 1:00 PM William Scott Vincent will be the pastor officiating.

Roderick attended Nathan Hale High School. He graduated from the culinary arts program at North Seattle Community College with awards and honors. Rod worked as a chef in several well-known Seattle restaurants. Even after he quit cooking professionally he loved learning how to create new recipes and shared them with family and friends. Rod also worked at the King County Water Department as a pipefitter. He enjoyed music and was involved in setting up sound for local musicians. His passions were people, music, nature, and reading. He was a loyal, caring friend who enjoyed helping people.  We will remember him for his witty sense of humor.

Roderick is survived by his parents Ronald and Susan Jackson, siblings Kathryn Maxson and Ronald Jackson, nieces Jenny Janssen, Grace Maxson, Beth Jackson, and Rachel Jackson, nephews Charlie Maxson, John Jackson, Sam Maxson, Ben Jackson, David Jackson, and Shaun Maxson, a large extended family, and many friends.
