Born in Seattle on 3/28/1944 and passed away in Bothell on 4/21/2019.
Sandy grew up in Kirkland on Lake Washington and graduated from Lake Washington High School, class of 1962.
Sandy was very athletic and during her lifetime she enjoyed playing tennis, gymnastics, sailing, swimming, boating and barefoot water skiing on lake.
After high school she attended Imperial College in Pasadena, CA where she met Robert Green, they married in 1965 and had two children together, Wendy and Todd. Sandy provided a loving home environment where her children flourished, she loved being a Mom and was also a beloved wife and grandmother. Sandy lovingly cared for her mother Margaret Swartz until her passing in 2009. Her family and faith were the love of her life.
After returning to Kirkland in the early 70’s she worked for the City of Rose Hill Water Department and then for the City of Kirkland until her retirement in 2010.
Through her church she met and married Carl Anderson. Sandy and Carl were very active together in their church. They liked playing cards and they thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company. They lovingly cared for each other throughout their marriage.
Sandy loved people and was loved in return. She would light up a room wherever she went. She had a very distinctive laugh that will be missed by all who knew her.
Sandy is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and many other family members.
