Saundra Lou (Strong) Mayfield

Saundra Lou (Strong) Mayfield, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend passed away peacefully on March 14th, at the age of 84, in Lynnwood, WA. She was born in Sterling, CO and married the love of her life, Bobby, in October, 1957. She was married for 64 years and raised 4 boys in North Seattle before settling down in Lake Stevens where she lived for 33 years.

Saundra was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and was the heart and soul of her family – a true foundation upon which they built their lives. She was a pillar of strength for her family, always offering support, love and her opinion – whether you wanted it or not. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in her families hearts. She found joy in spending time with family, reading, playing games and never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune. She spent years making ceramics to earn a little extra money but also found pleasure in doing ceramics as a hobby. Among many things, she loved Elvis Presley, butterflies, old country music, and her sparkly pink manicured nails.

She is survived by her loving children Mark(Michelle); Scott(Michelle); Wade(Karen); and Drew(Jamie), grandchildren – Natasha; Taylor(Madison); Nicholas(Bryonna); Derek; Adam(Starr) and Sara, 3 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bobby), her parents, Norma and Charles (Charlie) and her brother Gary.

A Celebration of Saundra’s life will be held on Sunday, 04/06/2025 @ 11:00am at Shawn O’Donnell’s Irish Pub Banquet Room in Everett, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization in her memory.
