Thomas Henry Cowdin Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 with family at his side. He was 69. Born to Thomas and Virginia Cowdin on January 27th, 1944, Tom was the oldest of 7 children. During his younger years he grew up in Kent and Bellevue Washington where is attended Sammamish High School. It was there that he met his first love Linnea Baxter. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1963 and was stationed in San Diego California at Camp Pendleton. He was injured during advanced training and received an honorable discharge in 1964. Tom later began his life long career as a glazer (glass worker) at the family owned company Sunset Glass where he worked alongside many of his siblings and his father Tom Sr. He was a great brother, father and friend; Tom will be truly missed but never forgotten! His sparking blue eyes will continue to sparkle among the starts. He leaves behind son Anthony “Tony” Cowdin, daughter in law Jen and Daughter Dawn Baber (Carl Baber), granddaughters Katherine and Isabella, Sisters Kathy Bond and Barbara Beckwith and Brother Rusty Cowdin.
A memorial service will be held at St. Louise Parish on Monday, September 16th at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the parish hall. Tom will be laid to rest alongside many of his family members at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary in Bellevue at 2:30.
