Timothy Joseph Murphy, 50, was taken much too early from us all on Saturday August 24th, 2013.
Tim was born on June 10, 1963 in Mt. View, California to Donald and Carol Murphy. His family moved from San Jose, CA to Bellevue, WA in 1971. He graduated from Newport High School in Bellevue in 1981. Tim received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in 1985. He was very active in the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and maintained many lifelong friendships.
Tim met Stacy Susanne Kulaas while both were attending WSU and she became “the love of his life”. They were married on May 23, 1987. They had their first home in Kirkland and in 2000 moved to Duvall. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2011.
He was last employed by SNC Lavelin in Bothell, WA where he enjoyed his work and made many good friends.
Tim’s passion was the restoration of classic cars. He loved to spend time in his meticulous garage and tinker on his projects. There could never be too much chrome.
He is survived by his daughters, Mali and Shannon; parents Donald and Carol Murphy; brothers Kevin (& Lynette) Murphy of Fall City; John (& Jamien) Murphy of Bothell and Mark (& Laura) Murphy of Portland; his father-in-law, Richard Kulaas; all the Kulaas family; nieces, nephews and countless more family and friends.
Tim was larger than life and had a perpetual smile and happiness that lit up any room. Rest in peace and be with the Lord and your love, Stacy.
The funeral service was held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Duvall on Saturday, September 21st at 10am. He was buried on September 28th at Novelty Cemetery in Duvall, WA with several family members present.
