On Saturday October 15 2022, Virginia “Ginny”Holzman, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away peacefully at the age of 72.

Ginny was born on March 4, 1950 in Brighton, England to Robert and Haidee Atkin. She had a lovely childhood with her family including her brother Bruce Atkin in Burgess Hill England completing her schooling and then meeting her husband. On October 19, 1968, she married James Holzman. Jim and Ginny celebrated almost 54 years of marriage together. They moved to the United States to settle and stay in Kirkland, Washington. They had and raised two daughters Monique Raymond and Sasha Richards.

Ginny was very loving mother and very involved in her children’s school and sports, which led her to become a Montessori preschool teacher. She started her career at Creative Montessori in Juanita Kirkland area and then moved to Canyon Park Montessori in Bothell. She was a wonderful, creative and caring teacher for over 20 years. Ginny was a talented artist, an animal lover who always fed her raccoons, crows and squirrels. She had a love for travel and adventure in life. She was a fashionista who loved to dress well and shop. She was known for staying loyal to her British blood with her Union Jack flag flying and instilling all the British traditions with her family. She was a special and bright spirit who touched so many family and friends in her lifetime .

Ginny was preceded in death by her father, Robert and her mother, Haidee. She  is survived by her husband Jim, her two daughters Monique and Sasha, her brother Bruce Atkin, and all her lovely grandchildren, Madeline, Henry, Bianca and Livia as well as her two cats Zeke and Willow.

Ginny was laid to rest at the Woodinville Cemetery on Friday October 28, 2022 with a quiet family service. A celebration of life will be held in January 28th from 12-3 at the Helios Ballroom (213 Ave D Snohomish WA). Charity donations are preferred to honor Ginny and may be made to Paws or Fred Hutchinson for cancer research – see below:
