Virginia was born Jan. 4, 1918 in Helena, MT and passed away Sept. 16, 2010 in Kirkland, WA.
After Virginia graduated from Balboa High School, San Francisco, CA in 1935 she moved with her family to Bellevue, WA and in 1940 received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Washington, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and became an avid Husky fan from then on. She excelled in interior design at the UW, which led to a long career as an Interior Designer in the Seattle area.
Virginia is survived by sons Jerry, Fairfield, TX, Steve (Donna), Arlington, WA, Scott (Sally), Woodinville, WA, Jay (Barb), Whidbey Island, WA, Carl (Julia), Redmond, WA; grandchildren Kristin Brand, Kimberly Washburn, Eric Brand, Jill Rabe, John Brand, Stefany Northcutt, Allison Vigeland and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Bruce of La Quinta, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome in 1969, son John in 1988, granddaughter Kelly in 2005, and sister Marjorie Keeler in 1998.
Her family meant the world to her and she loved it when we all got together. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A reception and celebration of Virginia’s life will be held Oct. 16, 2010 from 1:00-4:00 at Kirkland Woman’s Club, 407 First Street, Kirkland, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation & Guild Office, P.O.
